High Island Sanctuary Community Work Party

Saturday, November 9th

8:30am-2pm
Join us this Saturday to improve trails and habitat at one of our most popular birding spots. Lunch will provided by Houston Audubon and prepared by the lunch crew at the picnic area of Boy Scout Woods. A great opportunity to do something meaningful at a beautiful and peaceful location and make some new friends!

Audubon Fall Volunteer Day: Saturday, November 16th

Before we get together with our families and loved ones to celebrate all we are thankful for, we've planned a Saturday jam packed with volunteer events.  Please consider joining us for one!

Saturday Sanctuary Community Work Party - Edith L Moore Nature Sanctuary (near Memorial City)
Saturday Sanctuary Community Work Party - Raptor and Education Center (near Sims Bayou) 


Young Professionals Advisory Committee

                                                                 

Locations and schedule flexible
We are accepting applications now for our 2020 Young Professionals Advisory Council (YPAC). The goal of the YPAC is to engage the next generation of conservationists and to build awareness of Houston Audubon’s mission among young professionals. YPAC members have the chance to make a significant impact in the world of bird conservation and play an important role in enhancing wildlife habitat.

Christmas Bird Count

December 16th
Multiple locations, dinner at Raptor and Education Center
Join us for this annual Citizen Science event where we collect useful data for our conservation program as well as enjoy a celebratory dinner where we go over the  information we've gathered.

Coastal Operations Center Caretakers

Launching soon
High Island                                                                                                                                                                     Camp out at High Island long term in exchange for 20 hours of service per week, or join us for a shorter stay. Volunteers will conduct multiple tasks at our bird sanctuaries here. Get on the list now to reserve your space!
