Take Action: Ask Your Senators to Vote Against Harmful Tax Cuts and Reductions to Safety Net Programs |
The House of Representatives recently passed legislation, known as the budget reconciliation megabill, that would gut critical programs and services supporting the most socially and economically disadvantaged households. The bill has now moved to the Senate for consideration. We need to protect our communities by voicing our opposition. You can help by calling your senators and telling them to vote against the reconciliation megabill in support of the communities they serve.

National CAPACD Condemns HUD’s Decision to Weaken the AFFH Rule, A Dangerous Setback for Fair Housing |
National CAPACD opposes the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) decision to release an interim rule that weakens the duty to Affirmatively Further Fair Housing (AFFH). This decision is a significant rollback of fair housing protections, reducing the ability to invest in and create opportunities for historically marginalized and underinvested communities, such as low-income AAs and NHPIs.

Meet the Newest Member of Our Neighborhoods Capital Fund! |
Clara Suh (she/her) joins Our Neighborhoods Capital Fund (ONCF), a non-profit affiliate of National CAPACD, as the Director of Lending & Operations. Clara brings nearly a decade of commercial real estate lending experience across the financial services sector, including commercial banks and community development finance institutions (CDFIs). Previously, she was the Community Development Underwriter at Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) in her hometown of Los Angeles. While at LISC LA, Clara originated and underwrote early-stage and construction financing for the production and preservation of affordable housing in Greater Los Angeles. Clara is an alumnus of the University of Southern California and received her Master’s in City Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
