Triton Student System (TSS) Opens to Students on July 20th |
|
|
|
Dear Tritons,
The Triton Student System (TSS), the university’s new student information system, is replacing MyTritonLink. Please review the following instructions carefully to access the new Triton Student System (TSS) starting on July 20. There are several steps you must complete to avoid delays in registering for, or what is now called booking, your courses.
TSS will open to students on July 20, 2026. At that time, you will be able to log in at http://sis.ucsd.edu using your Active Directory single sign-on (SSO) information. You will also be able to access TSS from TritonLink by selecting the Triton Student System button in the top right corner.

What Do I Need to Do on July 20?
When TSS opens to students on July 20, you should log in and do these three things:
|
- Review your personal information for accuracy and make changes or updates if they are needed. This includes making sure your address and emergency contact information is up to date.
-
Verify your academic information, including your major and minor, and if there appears to be an inaccuracy, contact TSS support. Please note, while something like a program code may have changed, the name of your program and major should be the same as it has been.
-
Enter your direct deposit information into TSS. Your current direct deposit information in TritonLink will not transfer to TSS, so you must re-enroll in direct deposit in TSS. If your direct deposit information is missing, incorrect, or out of date, university payments or stipends may be delayed. If you have additional questions about direct deposit and the pause on Financial Aid disbursements during the TSS transition, please read the Update Direct Deposit Information and Temporary Pause on Financial Aid Disbursements article.
Please note that enrollment in direct deposit for graduate students who receive employment payments through payroll are not impacted by the TSS implementation and may not need to re-enroll in direct deposit; however, please be sure that your direct deposit information in UCPath is also up to date. The direct deposit re-enrollment requirement applies only to student refund payments processed through the new TSS system.

What Else Should I Do on July 20?
|
-
Find your registration date and time, called your “booking window,” in My Appointment Times to see when you can begin enrolling in classes. Graduate students will all be assigned a standard booking window, which you may see in My Appointment Times beginning July 20. It’s required by TSS to allow you access to book, but is set to allow graduate students access from the first day of enrollment through the add deadline. Please check for the booking window in My Appointment Times to determine when the enrollment period opens, before attempting to book courses each term.
- Review the Fall 2026 Schedule of Classes in TSS to see which courses will be offered and start planning your schedule. Beginning with Fall Quarter 2026, students will use TSS to book, drop, waitlist and manage courses. TSS checks whether you meet requirements when you attempt to book or waitlist a course. The following term enrollment unit limit applies to all graduate students, effective Fall 2026:
- Initial Booking Period: When the booking window opens, graduate students may enroll and waitlist in a combined total of up to 20 units.
- Prior to Instruction: Beginning one week prior to the start of instruction, the term enrollment limit will increase to 30 units.
-
Requests to Exceed the Unit Limit: Students who need to enroll in more than 30 units may submit a Triton Enrollment Authorization (TEA) request for approval by their home graduate program.
- If you have questions about course planning, degree progress or your ability to book courses needed for graduation, contact your Graduate Coordinator from your home graduate program for academic advising and guidance.
- Keep up-to-date with the relevant start dates and deadlines in the Booking and Registration Calendar.
- Check for any active holds in My Holds. Holds may prevent you from booking courses and will need to be resolved before you can book classes.

How Do I Get Support During TSS Launch?
UC San Diego will provide enhanced support, known as hypercare, to help students during the transition to TSS. TSS support will be available for students who need help accessing TSS, reporting a technical issue or raising a concern about information that appears incorrect in TSS.
Please submit your issue ONCE through the appropriate support channel. Submitting the same issue through multiple channels may slow response times. Urgent issues affecting student access, course booking, payments, academic progress and core student services will be prioritized.
|
- For a TSS access issue, technical issue or information that appears incorrect in TSS, use ONE of the following options:
- Email support: tss@ucsd.edu - Emailing this address will automatically create a support ticket and add your inquiry to the support queue.
- Phone support: (858) 246-4357, press 2 for TSS support
- Office hours support: Zoom
-
In-person support: Applied Physics & Mathematics, Room 1313, First Floor (Map)
-
For academic questions: If you have a question about your major, minor, courses, degree progress, schedule, advising, academic record or anything not related to the TSS transition, reach out to the appropriate staff contact in your home graduate program.
-
For Financial Aid, direct deposit or disbursement questions: contact the Financial Aid and Scholarships Office. For other financial support or graduate student employment inquiries, students should contact their Graduate Coordinator and refer to the GEPA Financial Support FAQ page for guidance.

TSS is one of the largest technology upgrades in UC San Diego history. While the system will create a more modern, user-friendly and interconnected experience for students, there will inevitably be challenges along the way. People from across campus will continue working together to ensure that students are supported during this transition, but we ask for your patience as we navigate this new system together.
Thank you for your understanding as UC San Diego launches this new technology.
Sincerely,
Office of the Registrar
