Center in November. He succeeds Dr. Devraj Sukul as the new associate director of BMC2 PCI. Dr. Cantey brings expertise in improving cardiovascular patient outcomes and a passion for working in the high-risk coronary disease and shock populations. Dr. Sukul will join our colleagues at Corewell Health West in Grand Rapids to focus on structural heart care. We wish him the best as he starts this new chapter in his career.
Throughout the fall, we learned and shared at various in-person and virtual meetings. We acknowledge the time this takes you away from your patients, families, and friends and value your commitment to continued learning so we can best serve our patients.
Our new vascular surgery disparities dashboard is now live on bmc2.org. The dashboard allows you to benchmark your site’s data compared to the collaborative and helps identify areas of improvement. We are eager to support you as you use this tool to take on new quality projects.
We look forward to you having the opportunity to get to know Mollie and Dr. Cantey in the coming months as we continue our shared dedication to improving cardiovascular patient care and outcomes for those across Michigan, the nation, and the world.

MVC has added a new PCI component to their Pay-For-Performance (P4P) measures. This is separate from BMC2 P4P. For PYs 2026 and 2027, hospitals must select one condition for the episode spending metric; PCI has been added to the list of episode conditions that hospitals can choose from. Support for BMC2 is provided by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and Blue Care Network as part of the BCBSM Value Partnerships program.
Although Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and BMC2 work collaboratively, the opinions, beliefs, and viewpoints expressed by the author do not necessarily reflect the opinions, beliefs, and viewpoints of BCBSM or any of its employees.
Further, BCBSM does not have access to BMC2 data, and all patient episodes occurring at engaged hospitals are included in the data registries, regardless of payer.
