Dear member,
Welcome to your March 2026 SOLVE-CHD Monthly Update.
We are thrilled to begin this month’s update with some fantastic news for our community: the SOLVE-CHD NHMRC Synergy grant has been officially extended through to December 2027. This extension, moving our original 2026 completion date forward, is a testament to the hard work of our researchers and the significant impact of our collaborative efforts to date. It ensures that our vital work in heart health will continue to grow and deliver meaningful outcomes into the future.
A Fond Farewell to Julia Ning
With such a bright future in mind, we also share some bittersweet news regarding our leadership team. After five exceptional years of service, our Program Manager, Julia Ning, will be departing SOLVE-CHD this April.
Julia has been the backbone of our operations since 2020. Her contribution and leadership have been instrumental in every success we've achieved. While we will miss her dearly, we are incredibly proud to see her take the next step in her career as the MBA Program Manager at the University of Sydney Business School. Please join us in wishing Julia the very best in her new chapter!
Welcoming Wendy Shi to the Helm
To lead us into this newly extended phase, we are delighted to announce that Dr. Wendy Shi will be stepping in as our new Program Manager.
Julia and Wendy are currently working side-by-side to ensure a seamless transition for all our ongoing projects. With the grant extension secured and a clear vision for the future, we are confident that this will take SOLVE-CHD to even greater heights!
