Welcome Back!

We hope everyone had a joyous Thanksgiving holiday!

‘Tis the Season to be Jolly

Please join St. Michael’s Parents’ Association and Board of Directors for our Annual Christmas Tree Lighting, Wednesday, DECEMBER 1. The festivities include a parade around the Green (with a special guest!), performances by our Fifth Grade Chorus and St. Michael’s Singers, caroling, and the lighting of the tree.

Safety: The safety of our community is our greatest concern. Students MUST be accompanied by their parents, and cannot be dropped off for this event.

Off-site parking is available at Trinity Episcopal School and trolleys will run between the two campuses. Two off-duty police officers will be on-site to assist with traffic. Stay tuned for more parking details.

Holiday Colds and Sniffles?

If at any point during the Thanksgiving holiday a member of your family feels ill or you believe that your family has been exposed to ANY kind of illness, please complete our COVID Reporting Form and keep your child(ren) home the week of November 29 until cleared by St M's Nurse Maben once school is back in session.

Policies for Student Absences

We encourage parents to make thoughtful decisions about taking students out of school for optional activities as absences place students at an academic disadvantage. The in-class instruction that they miss is irreplaceable.
Assignments will NOT be provided in advance. Students are encouraged to read daily, to complete any long-term assignments, and Middle School students may check Google Classroom.
Absences:
  • When a student is going to miss school for any reason, please contact the school office as well as the teacher/advisor as soon as possible.
  • Students who are absent or who leave school early due to illness may not participate in co-curricular activities or extended programs on the same day or evening.
  • It may not be possible for students to make up missed achievement tests.
  • Students who have excessive absences (more than 20 school days in a single school year) must present a written appeal to the Head of School to be considered for academic credit for the year.
Make-Up Work Policy: A student is given a number of days equal to the number of days absent (up to 5 days maximum) to complete make-up work. It is the responsibility of the student to make sure assignments are completed satisfactorily and submitted.
