Student Holidays on Friday, Nov. 4, and Monday, Nov. 7
Friday, November 4, is a student holiday as faculty attends the Virginia Association of Independent Schools (VAIS) annual professional development conference.
- There is NO EXTENDED DAY on November 4.
Parent/Teacher/Advisor Q1 Conferences will be held on Monday, November 7. This day is also a student holiday. Teachers/Advisors digitally sent out conference sign-ups on October 24. Please contact your child's teacher/advisor if you did not receive the link.
- Need Extended Day CHILDCARE on the November 7 Conference Day? Please submit a DROP-IN REQUEST FORM 24-hours in advance.

Q1 Report Cards- Middle School Families: Report cards will be visible in PowerSchool by the end of day on November 4. Paper copies will not be sent home. In June, students will receive a printed copy of the full-year report card.
- Lower School Families: Report cards will go home in backpacks on Thursday, November 3.

LS Fruit and Vegetable Challenge
The Lower School Fruit and Vegetable Challenge will take place November 1-November 18. During these days in November, students will tally if they ate a lunch or snack serving of fruits or vegetables. The grade who wins will earn an extra P.E. class and fruit party. Students will additionally be discussing in P.E. class the importance of eating a well-balanced diet.

The tradition continues with creative class projects, an array of unique items, fun food, and lots of competitive bidding to benefit the School. Not to be missed --- It's going to be a fun and festive night!

An affinity group is a group of individuals with similar backgrounds or demographic factors - a positive gathering space for people to unite around common experiences or goals, and yet the same space can provide an opportunity for people with similar identities to share and receive various perspectives.
People of Color include, but are not limited to, Black, Asian, Hispanic/Latine, Native American, Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander. Multiracial individuals should feel free to attend, as well as White parents who are parents of children of color.

| COVID Reporting Protocol/Form
If someone in your family has symptoms, has been exposed, or is being tested for COVID-19, please inform the School IMMEDIATELY IN WRITING via the COVID-19 Reporting Form linked below. The link is also on the School website.
Upon receipt of this information, Nurse Maben, St M's school nurse, will contact the family. The confidentiality of the diagnosed student or teacher will be maintained. Please keep your child(ren) AT HOME until contacted by Nurse Maben.
