Welcome Back, Dragons!

We hope everyone had a fun and restful break. We are excited to see our Dragons' smiling faces on Monday
!
PS: St. Michael's would love to hear about how your family "UNPLUGGED" over the break. Print off this flyer (or make your own) and let us know what your family did when you unplugged. Students may bring these in and drop them in the front offices this week.

Carline Safety: Please Help!

For the safety of our faculty and students, when arriving in any of the carpool loops, please pull up all the way TO THE FIRST CONE (and not directly in front of the school doors) when dropping students off in the morning/picking up in the afternoon.
As well, once you come through our school gates, St M's carline is a CELL PHONE-FREE ZONE!  More and more parents are arriving distracted on their phones and we greatly need your help. Thank you!

Extended Programs Staff Update

St. Michael's would like to extend a heartfelt goodbye to:
Erica Brown, our Extended Programs Assistant & Middle School Extended Day Teacher. Mrs. Brown will be leaving St M to take on a new role with the YMCA. Her last day with us will be Friday, March 18th. While we will miss her, we are thrilled that she will be back to substitute teach in Extended Day from time to time!

St. Michael's would like to extend a warm welcome to:
Heather Mumford, our new K-1 Extended Day Assistant. Ms. Mumford comes to us from Shady Grove Preschool where she has been teaching three and four year olds for almost 20 years! She volunteers with River City Inclusive Gymnastics and holds a BA in Sociology from George Mason University. Welcome, Heather!

Happy Mahaney, our new Extended Programs Coordinator. Mr. Mahaney (or Mr. Happy as the little ones know him) joined us last year as a substitute teacher, filling in wherever needed and spending lots of time with our Extended Day kids. He earned a BA in Theatre Arts from VA Tech and an MFA in Performance Pedagogy from VCU. You can catch him directing MAMMA MIA! at Virginia Repertory Theatre this summer!
