Needs Closet for Bellevue Elementary
Bellevue Elementary School is one of the first three public schools built in Richmond, Virginia. Nestled in historic Church Hill, generations of children have come to know and love their “Castle on the Hill.”
Over 60 percent of Bellevue Elementary School students are considered “economically disadvantaged.” That means approximately 157 of the 230 students and their families struggle to afford even some of the most basic items such as toothbrushes and toothpaste, non-perishable foods, and cleaning supplies.
St. Michael’s has had the privilege of partnering with Bellevue Elementary on various programs throughout the 2022/2023 school year and now we want to help our friends again. Bellevue stocks a “basic needs closet” which is available to families who would welcome some extra support, and it is our pleasure to be able to fill some of that need. Donation boxes are located in the Middle School library and the Extended Day room. Details below.
