Mushrooms are popping up all over campus! Our mycologists (mushroom experts) put out signs with fun(gi) facts to ID them. The first person to Instagram all 15 signs using the hashtags ‪#‎beatymuseum‬ ‪#‎mushroomhunt‬ will win a Four Mushroom Pizza from Pie R Squared and a spot on our Mushroom Walk on Nov 7th. Let the mushroom hunt begin! Please capture them only on camera and not by picking them.

Mushroom Walk

Walk of Wonder - Conifers

Do you know the most commonly recognized conifer families of the world? Not all are native to Canada. Join David Cook to look at representatives of those families as you walk to various locations on campus, most notably what remains of the former UBC Arboretum.

Explore 34 biodiversity hotspots around the world through stunning images. Presented by Terre Sauvage, Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund, and the Nature Picture Library. In partnership with the Consulate General of France in Vancouver.
