Municipal Energy Plan Grant Program Review

The Ministry of Energy and Mines is consulting on how to improve the Municipal Energy Plan grant program so municipalities can advance energy infrastructure initiatives. Comment by August 22.

Ministry of Natural Resources Project Evaluation Changes

The Ministry is seeking feedback on a new Project Evaluation Policy to replace the Class EA-RSFD by August 24, 2026. Register for the July 30 virtual information session to learn more.

Conservation Authorities Consultation

The Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks is consulting on a mechanism to determine how many members participating municipalities appoint to regional conservation authorities. Respond by September 12.

Community Infrastructure Funding Deadline Extended

Southern Ontario municipalities now have until August 6 to submit projects for community infrastructure funding from the Build Communities Strong Fund Local Impact Stream.

Rail Safety Improvement Funding

Municipalities are eligible to apply for federal funding to improve safety at high-risk rail crossings and along rail lines. Application deadlines are August 21 or September 4.

Antenna Siting Consultation Deadline Extended

The federal government’s consultation on changes to how cell towers are sited has been extended to September 22. Click here for more information.
