Summit County March for Life |
United in the belief that all life is sacred, a pilgrimage of Walsh students, faculty and staff members had planned to make the journey from North Canton to Washington, D.C., to join more than 100,000 attendees for the Annual March for Life Rally on Friday, Jan. 19. Amid the snow and freezing temperatures, and out of an abundance of caution, the University cancelled the trip. The next day, a group of ten Walsh students, led by Cavs for Life and Campus Ministry, joined the pro-life movement at the Summit County March for Life hosted by the Right to Life Northeast Ohio. Bundled in coats and boots, 100 people gathered at the Community Vineyard Church in Cuyahoga Falls and participated in the march, despite the freezing temperatures and snowy conditions. They led a peaceful march down State Rd., from the church to the Northeast Ohio Women’s Center, before returning to the church for prayer and fellowship.

Successful Completion of Walsh's Year Four Accreditation Report |
Walsh’s Year Four Accreditation report, known as the HLC Year Four Assurance Update, has been accepted by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC). It is the culmination of a collaborative two-year project that demonstrates the University remains in compliance after successfully completing its most recent 10-year review in 2019. Walsh’s HLC committee revised the 2019 report, consisting of 5 criteria with 18 core components and 5 summary sections for 23 sections and created 778 evidence documents linked throughout the report. These evidence documents include strategic plan documents, assessment reports, program review reports, IDEA course evaluation reports, and data from external reports (e.g., CIRP, NSSE). Many of these individual reports can be found on the Institutional Effectiveness and Assessment – MyWalsh Portal. You can access the final report at HLC Accreditation Committee – MyWalsh Portal.
