What to know today:

Beginning today, Clemson University students, faculty and staff may register for free access to ChatGPT Edu. Users must complete a registration form to provision their account. The Clemson AI website includes AI guidelines, best practices and instructions for setting up your account.

This week is Severe Weather and Flood Safety Week in South Carolina, which encourages everyone to prepare for the types of severe weather that impact our state. Sign up for CU Alerts and ensure you know what to do during severe weather.

The Clemson University STRIDE ART Academy has announced its Spring 2026 cohort. The Academy, part of the NSF STRIDE program, is a professional development initiative designed to help researchers translate discoveries into tangible market and societal impact.

Clemson's Master of Science in Data Science and Analytics program recently collaborated with an Ohio energy company to address concerns about the state's aging oil wells and their associated environmental risks. The project offered students an opportunity to apply advanced analytics to real-world problems.

CLEMSON 8 CHALLENGE

The Clemson 8 Challenge began Saturday as members of the Clemson community ran and walked the eight-mile course across main campus. The Challenge, which continues through this Saturday, honors the Clemson alumni who suffered in the Bataan Death March in 1942 during World War II.

Both lanes of South Palmetto Boulevard will be closed at the intersection of Williamson Road during Spring Break (March 16-20) to repair asphalt across the roadway.
Cooper Library will be closed March 18-21 so that crews can replace electrical panels throughout the building. The closure is planned for spring break to minimize disruption to students, faculty and staff.
