Reminisce with Bob Levey, Washington Post columnist and author, as he discusses “The Golden Era at The Washington Post” where his daily column appeared for more than 23 years. Levey was the first reporter hired by executive editor Ben Bradlee, and sat between Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein throughout the Watergate hearings. Levey has recently published his first novel, Larry Felder, Candidate, the story of a famous Washington journalist who gives up his career to run for Congress in the Washington suburbs.

The Healing Power of Marking Time During COVID-19

During this unprecedented time, when our regular schedules and ways of marking time have been disrupted, it is more important than ever to be in touch with the calendar and its wisdom. Dive into the themes of each lunar month on Rosh Chodesh, the holiday marking the start of the new month, and learn how they helped our ancestors track time agriculturally, and keep hold of important events in the Jewish people’s history. Participants will leave with tools to tackle the month ahead with purpose and the ability to plan for what’s to come.

The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington's Shlichim Program
You Can't Ask That! is a popular Israeli show that raises difficult questions about different groups in Israeli society. Every week, one episode will be viewed together followed by a discussion with an individual from that group. This week will be about 2nd and 3rd generation Holocaust survivors in Israel and hosted by the Shlichot (emissaries) Rotem Ur from Sha'are Torah and Yael Shafrir from Har Shalom.
