Every day, I have the privilege of seeing what happens when a community comes together to stand up for children who have experienced abuse or neglect. Across Texas, CASA volunteers show up with compassion, consistency, and an unwavering commitment to helping children find safe, permanent homes. Their advocacy changes lives — but they can’t do it alone.
This month, as we recognize National Nonprofit Day, I’m especially grateful for the community of supporters who make this work possible. Since our founding in 1989, Texas CASA has supported and strengthened a network of more than 70 local CASA programs serving communities across our state. Together, we have trained more than 100,000 CASA volunteers who have gone on to advocate for hundreds of thousands of children and youth across Texas. That incredible impact is a testament to what we can accomplish when people invest in children and believe every child deserves a dedicated advocate to help ensure they don’t fall through the cracks.
If you share that belief, I invite you to celebrate National Nonprofit Day by making a gift to Texas CASA. Your support helps strengthen local CASA programs, recruit and train volunteers, and ensure more children have a voice during one of the most challenging moments of their lives.
Thank you for believing in our mission and for standing alongside children, families, and the dedicated volunteers who serve them. Together, we can continue changing lives for generations to come.
