While the rest of the school was working hard on tests and 10th graders were... ??, juniors and seniors were spending the day on Friday, April 21 prepping for the best dressed night of their lives — the annual Junior Senior Parade of Dates. Students showcased their fancy formals in front of an audience on an enchanted stage designed by junior class officers. Everyone looked fabulous, of course, but we asked eight members of our community (students and teachers) which looks they remembered the most.

Junior Senior (Jr/Sr), the CAC version of prom, took place last Friday night, April 21st. The day consisted of lots of time to get ready, the Parade of Dates, a banquet, and an afterparty. It is a long-standing school tradition and has become an important part of our history. It is a time when alumni, parents, faculty, and students all come together as a community to share in watching the parade of dates. Whether they are coming to see their kids dressed up or to make their best dressed list for that year, it is a great time that everyone can share together.

This week’s poll came from a little bit of an interesting source – a dream actually. We know that everyone loves rap battles (and apparently so does Haylee Newman’s subconscious), but we want to know exactly who would win the rap battle of the century. Between the Pope, Lightning McQueen, Mrs. Tucker, and Winnie the Pooh, who is going down as having the sickest bars?

Last Tuesday, April 18th, senior Ty Wunderl signed his letter of intent to wrestle at the collegiate level at Huntingdon College in Montgomery, Alabama. Click the link below to read more about Ty's accomplishments.

On June 3, 2023, The Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts will be hosting an event planned by teens, for teens.  In fact, CAC’s very own Becca Rossi is on the Teen Advisory Board for the AMFA. From paintings and pottery, to songs and poetry, middle and high school students from across the state of Arkansas will have the opportunity to submit their art to be featured in the event, which will also include “food, games, and other activities.” 

Meet Murphy, sixth grader Ashten Del Toro’s puppy! Murphy jumps super high and loves to greet his family at the door!

This week, Mrs. Kyle’s seventh period algebra class is hard at work simplifying radical equations, which she assures us is a real thing.
