ICANotes Updates for March 2021

Changes made to ICANotes in our March 2021 release are described below. These changes will be released within the next week.

Practice Management Updates

Add Additional Participants to Telehealth Sessions

Providers now have the ability to add more than one participant to a Telehealth Session. Please review our Knowledge Base article on this functionality.

Patient Account Export Addition

'Site' has been added as an Export Option within Patient Account Reporting.

New Group Rule: PA Include Non-Pri 45 Adj in SRVC Balance

This Group Rule allows for adjustments from Secondary Auto-Post Payments with a code of 45 to be included when calculating the balance of a service. If you would like to use this new Group Rule, please have a Security Administrator email our Support Team to request this be enabled for your practice.

New Group Rule: PA Use Pre-Payment SRVC As Last Payment

For this Group Rule to function as intended, the following are required:

The group rule must be enabled.
The statement setting 'Show Last Payment Date/Amount' must be in use.
The most recent Payment must be a Pre-Payment.

When these criteria are met, the pre-payment will be listed as the Last Payment when generating a Patient Statement. If you would like to use this new Group Rule, please have a Security Administrator email our Support Team to request this be enabled for your practice.

Credit Card Column Added

A column has been added to show Insurance Credit Card payments in the Deposit Report within Patient Accounts.

Clinical Updates

New Test Available: Desipramine
Desipramine has been added to the Chemistry Tests available to document as a Test Result along with the associated test result values.

PHQ-9M Rating Scale Added

Ratings specific to the PHQ-9M have been added to the Test Results available within Notes. Documentation of the test result will populate in the PHQ-9 column in the Rating Scale Log.

Prolonged Service Codes Added to E&M Code for Me

A Prolonged Service code and the corresponding number of units will populate when the total time for Complete/Initial Assessment is in excess of 75 minutes or a Progress Note is in excess of 55 minutes.

The units are measured in 15 minute increments, with each 15 minutes over the stated time being one unit.
For patients with Medicare as Primary, the add on code will be G2212.
For all other payers, the add on code will be 99417.
Prolonged Service code 99417 can only be used with 99205 and 99215.
These codes will need to be added to your Billing Rates to populate as expected.

SARS-COV-2 Immunizations Added

Providers now have the ability to document that an immuization has been given for SARS-COOV-2. The available options are:

SARS-COV-2 (COVID-19) vaccine, mRNA, spike protein, LNP, preservative free, 100 mcg/0.5mL dose
SARS-COV-2 (COVID-19) vaccine, mRNA, spike protein, LNP, preservative free, 30 mcg/0.3mL dose
SARS-COV-2 (COVID-19) vaccine, vector non-replicating, recombinant spike protein-ChAdOx1, preservative free, 0.5 mL
