Recent Texas legislation requires health care practitioners to have their continuing education (CE) compliance verified through an approved CE tracking system as part of license renewal.
Beginning September 1, 2026, licensees renewing their license must comply with this requirement. To meet this mandate, the Texas Medical Board (TMB) has designated CE Broker as its official CE tracking platform. All TMB licensees must establish at least a free CE Broker account. Paid account options are available but are not required for compliance.
CE Broker has created a step‑by‑step tutorial you can view now by clicking here. If you prefer, you may also register for the brief informational webinar listed below.

To support licensees, TMB and CE Broker will host a brief informational webinar demonstrating how to track, manage, and report CME in CE Broker to support compliance and audit readiness.
|
Date: Wednesday, May 13, 2026
Time: 12:00 – 1:00 PM
|
Registration is limited to 1,000 participants.
|
All physicians renewing their license after May 31, 2026 are required by the Texas Medical Board (TMB) to upload lawful presence documentation.
License renewals will remain pending and cannot be approved until documentation from TMB’s list of acceptable documents is submitted and reviewed.
