Move Out Goes Greener with “Bearly Used” Initiative – Born out of a student-led idea by student leaders, Josh Yoon and Nolan La, Bearly Used is a collaborative effort to reduce waste during move-out season. In partnership with CL&L, Facilities Management, and the Office of Sustainability, this initiative places 13 donation and recycling stations near residence halls, clearly marked for trash, recyclables, and donatable items. Each residence hall will have a designated drop-off area monitored by student volunteers. After move-out, items will be sorted and donated to local partners including Lovely Village, ReStore, and Green City Recycler. If you would like to volunteer and sort through donated items, sign up here. If you’d like to stay up to date, click here. With plans to expand in future years, Bearly Used reflects the best of student initiative, sustainability, and service!

Summer Social, June 16 – Game on!!! This year’s Division of Student Life Summer Social is on Monday, June 16, from 12–3 p.m. We’re mixing things up this year and—besides offering it on a Monday—we’re moving it to Barfield Drawing Room in the Bill Daniel Student Center (aka The SUB) and organizing our competitive events differently.
