Galatians 2:20
I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
New International Version (NIV)
Do you remember Arthur Blessitt?  He was a chaplain on Bourbon Street in New Orleans who carried a cross everywhere he went.  I remember him preaching at an Evangelism Conference.  He walked out in front of the pulpit and fell on his face crying out to God.  When Arthur prayed he sounded like he knew the One he was addressing.

Jesus called all of those who wanted to follow him to first deny themselves and then take up their crosses.  Then one day he fulfilled this in front of them, carrying the cross beam all the way out of the city and up the hill called Golgotha.

Paul met the Lord on a road to Damascus.  Ever afterward, he saw himself as a person “in Christ.”  Paul so identified with Jesus that he said he had been crucified with Christ.  Paul died to self and Christ lived in him.  Paul put all of his trust in the one who loved him and gave himself up on the cross.  If Jesus died for us, the least we can do is return the favor.  Tozer said those who have been crucified with Christ are facing one direction, never look back and no longer have any plans of their own.    Is that you and me?  We never live at all until the crucified and risen Christ lives in us!
 Pray with me:
Father, we wear crosses and write with cross pens.  You must mean more.  Crucify our flesh with its sinful desires.  Raise us to new life in Christ we pray.  In the name of the One who lives in us we pray.  Amen.
I want to invite you to join me in memorizing 52 passages this year from the 2017 set of Fighter Verses.  You can find the Fighter Verses App at the App Store on your phones or via this link  http://fighterverses.com/the-verses/fighter-verses/As we study the Bible this year, let's look at each text and learn what it says about God.
Joyfully,
