White House Proposes Revised Guidance on Federal Research Grants

The US Office of Management and Budget (OMB) issued new proposed guidance on federal research grants last Friday. ARL released a statement via LinkedIn earlier this week, while we began a deeper analysis of the document. New Service Inventory Supports Cost-Recovery Efforts

Our latest work highlighting library investments in services and infrastructures that support the research enterprise is the “Research and Information Data Service Inventory,” coauthored by Marcel LaFlamme and Hilary A. Craiglow. The inventory is designed to help libraries, sponsored programs offices, and institutional costing teams identify, categorize, and plan for library-related costs in a consistent and defensible way. Jon Stroop Named Princeton University Librarian

Princeton University has appointed Jon Stroop as the next dean of libraries and Robert H. Taylor 1930 University Librarian, effective August 1, 2026.
