Do you have a "past"? Paul did!
Do you have a "past"? Paul did!

Galatians 1:15-16
But when God, who set me apart from my mother’s womb and called me by his grace, was pleased to reveal his Son in me so that I might preach him among the Gentiles, my immediate response was not to consult any human being.
New International Version (NIV)
Do you have a "past"?  Paul did!  He persecuted Christians right up until he began to preach Christ.  His salvation story was:  "I resisted God as hard as I could and He did the rest."
Paul preached the Gospel of Grace because he himself was a trophy of God's grace.  For this reason he opposed the twisted, graceless gospel of those who tried to change his gospel into a neo-legalism.
Paul received his good news from God who revealed Jesus to Paul in Damascus.  He could never forget God's grace.  God did not save Paul because of his own good works or by his own legalistic righteousness but by grace alone.  This is the same way God saves all of us.  We must not bind others or be bound by legalism in any way.
Pray with me:
Father, where would we be without your grace.  Remind us what you have done again and again so that we may live grateful, grace-filled, gracious lives offering good news to all.  In Jesus' name.  Amen!
