Plan to join the RVers who will be flocking to Family RV Association’s “Changes In Latitudes — RV Beach Party” International Convention, March 18-21, 2026, at the Georgia National Fairgrounds & Agricenter in Perry. Shake off the winter blues and warm up with tropical-inspired activities and great entertainment.
On opening night, experience a Peaceful, Easy Feeling as Hotel California — The Original Eagles Tribute brings the supergroup’s hits to life. Thursday evening, head downtown for the Welcome to Perry party for food, fun, and rocking sounds by the Party Knights band as they play your 1980s and ’90s favorites. Friday morning, proceed to the FRVA “beach,” where Feeding Frenzy Friday commences with the Magic Mile run/walk. Later that day, dig into ice cream, enjoy fun and funky contests, and stroll in the Fins to the Right Parade; then, head to the Fins to the Left Chapterfest, featuring A1A — The Official and Original Jimmy Buffett Tribute Show. The evening culminates with Stars on the Water Fireworks. On Saturday, we'll welcome a capella group Kazual for one last night of musical magic.
Throughout the week, you can explore exhibits galore, including display RVs; learning opportunities; get-togethers; the “RV There Yet?” TV crew; and maybe even some shark sightings.
Join us in Perrydise for this laid-back “island” getaway in middle Georgia. More info here.

Santa Fe: The City Different
|
Santa Fe, New Mexico, offers a rich mix of history, culture, cuisine, and art in the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. One visit and you’ll see why readers ranked it the top U.S. city in a 2025 Travel & Leisure readers poll.
The Santa Fe Plaza downtown is the heart of the city, featuring pueblo-style architecture that reflects the city’s Native American and Spanish colonial heritage. Historic buildings include the 400-year-old San Miguel Chapel and the Palace of the Governors, which houses the New Mexico History Museum. Stroll and discover restaurants, galleries, boutiques, bookstores, and more.
The city’s 400-plus restaurants serve a fusion of Native American, Mexican, and Spanish flavors. Many dishes feature red and green chiles. A restaurant server may ask which chile you prefer. Answer “red” or “green” — or “Christmas” to try both kinds. The Santa Fe Farmers’ Market, where many local chefs shop for ingredients, offers vegetables, fruits, and nursery plants all grown in northern New Mexico.
The local art scene is astounding as well. The city boasts 250-plus galleries, more than 20 museums, and numerous immersive art experiences. Don’t miss the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum, whose collections reveal the 20th-century artist’s love for northern New Mexico. Special events include the International Folk Market each July, which showcases cultures from around the world; and the Winter Indian Market in late November, featuring the work of 160 juried Native artists, along with music, dance, and food.
Road trips. The 15-mile Santa Fe National Forest Scenic Byway starts in the Plaza at the Palace of the Governors and travels through a forest of aspens and evergreens, ending at the Santa Fe Ski Basin (Ski Santa Fe). Folks who prefer a longer, more adventurous route might try the 50-mile Turquoise Trail National Scenic Byway, which runs from Santa Fe to Albuquerque (best driven in a small- to medium-size RV).
More about art. Read about Santa Fe’s art scene, especially its amazing “quirky” collections, in the November-December issue of Family RVing magazine, available soon.

Fall finds at farmers markets
|
The classic roadside stand has evolved! This month, stop at a farmers market along your route and discover the rich harvest of seasonal fruits and veggies, plus baked goods, meats, dairy products, and more. These local crops are rich in nutrients, and they’re often grown with organic or low-impact farming methods that reduce one’s exposure to chemicals. So, as you savor the peak of fall flavor, you’ll reap some health benefits, too. For more tasty inspiration, visit our FRVAdventure blog.
