RSVP HERE   OPPORTUNITIES & ANNOUNCEMENTS     Garfield Park Conservatory Alliance National Education Teacher    The Garfield Park Conservatory Alliance is currently hiring for a part time Nature Education Teacher. We are looking for an engaging part time teacher to facilitate our popular drop-in family programs, including Morning Glories, Fiddleheads, and Wild Wednesdays. MORE INFO UIC Heritage Garden Summer Internships Two internship positions are available for the Summer 2018: General Internship and the Photography and Media. Student interns work with faculty, staff, and community members to connect horticulture with environmental sustainability, cultural diversity, and social justice.  Deadline for the application on both positions is on Friday, March 16th, 2018 by 4PM. Student will need to turn in a typed hard copy of their application and resume to the Latino Cultural Center offices (lower level of LC B2). MORE INFO Volunteer as an Eco-Educator  The Office of Sustainability is partnering with the Good Food EXPO, providing Student Interns to help create a Zero Waste event. On Friday, March 23rd, 2018 and Saturday March 24th, 2018, Eco-Educators will engage attendees, share lessons about recycling and composting, and support the Good Food EXPO.   Make sure to sign up before the listed dates as spots are filling up. SIGN-UP HERE HSF Scholarship The HSF Scholarship is designed to assist students of Hispanic heritage obtain a college degree. Awards are based on merit; amounts range from $500 to $5,000, based on relative need, among the Scholars selected. Deadline for the application is on Friday, March 30th, 2018. MORE INFO Sustainabilty Internship Program (SIP)  The Office of Sustainability is awarding SIP to UIC ungraduates interested in advancing the overall mission of greater social, economic and environmental sustainability in the campus community. SIP is a paid internship program that runs from Monday, June 4th - Friday, August 10th, 2018 for about 15-35 hours a week.   Deadline for the application is on Monday, April 2nd, 2018. These employers will range from various industries including technology, engineering, government, business, healthcare & pharmaceuticals, and non-profit. The fair is open to students of all and any majors and will offer full-time, part-time and internship opportunities.
