Join us for Food Trucks and Fireworks Nov. 6! | |

Why fireworks in November? |
The City’s Fourth of July fireworks show was postponed because of Stage 2 fire restrictions this summer. Rather than cancel the celebration altogether, the City rescheduled the fireworks for Nov. 6, when cooler temperatures and seasonal conditions may provide a better opportunity to safely hold the event.
This one-night celebration features local food trucks and a professionally produced fireworks display. Parking lots open at 3:30, food trucks are on site from 2:30 to 7 p.m., and fireworks are scheduled to start at 6:30!
Find the food truck lineup and more on the Food Trucks and Fireworks webpage.

Over 65 individuals housed from Olde Town |
This year we set a goal to help house at least 65 unhoused individuals who frequent Olde Town, and we are thrilled to say that the City—along with community partners including Mission Arvada, The Family Tree, and SafeSide Recovery—have exceeded that goal so far and helped over 70 people into housing outcomes in 2026.
We will continue to work with our community partners to provide outreach, guidance, and support to our neighbors. Find out more about the City's Homelessness Response Team and how you can help!

Report concerns with short-term rentals |
As a reminder, the City is now enforcing stricter rules for property maintenance, trash and snow removal, noise, and safety at short-term rental (STR) properties.
Additionally, the City has launched a new system for reporting issues with STRs in your neighborhood. If you have a concern, now you can just report it via the City's website, notifying the owner of the property right away.
Learn more about the new rules on the Short-term rentals page.

During the Oct. 6 City Council meeting, Council passed a resolution opposing Ballot Issue 6C, which would raise sales tax in the city by 1%. The Council is concerned about increased costs to residents and businesses, as well as how this sales tax measure could impact the City’s budget in the future. Councilmembers are fully supportive of the Arvada Fire Protection District and the work they do for our community and they are a valued partner with the City. The Council's concern is how this 1% sales tax increase will impact our residents, businesses, and the City. Watch the full recording of the Oct. 6 meeting or start watching at Council's opposition to the sales tax measure. Visit our Council Recaps webpage for a breakdown of all the votes cast and public comment from Oct. 6.
