Tuition for the 2024-2025 School Year

January 22, 2024

Dear St. Michael’s Families,

Thank you for entrusting St. Michael’s with the education of your children.  With the second half of the school year underway and mirroring the great success and momentum of the fall, we are enjoying a fabulous school year with a remarkable group of students and teachers engaged in learning and discovery each day.  St. Michael’s wide-ranging resources help make lessons come alive, and our students are immersed in academic, artistic, and social growth. We are exceedingly proud of our shared accomplishments.

Each day on campus is a gift to enjoy and also to plan thoughtfully for next year and beyond.  To that end, the St M Board of Trustees 1)  has approved the School’s preliminary budget for the 2024/25 school year, 2) has approved the issuance of enrollment contracts, and 3) is poised to share its strategic plan, a “road map” of ongoing and future initiatives.

BUDGET

Throughout the 2024/25 budgeting process, the Board and Administration engaged in considerable discussion and analysis on how to most prudently balance financial requirements with our commitment to nurture each student’s intellectual curiosity through our extensive and rich program.  In developing our budget, the foremost objectives are to maintain competitive compensation levels to attract and retain outstanding educators, to provide your children with the comprehensive education that you have come to expect of St. Michael’s, and to deliver upon our mission.

As part of its budgeting process, the St. Michael’s Board has set tuition levels for the 2024/25 school year, as follows:
ENROLLMENT CONTRACTS

Re-enrollment contracts for the 2024/25 school year will be issued electronically on Monday, January 29, and are due back with the $500 enrollment deposit by NOON on Thursday, February 8, 2024.  Thereafter, enrollment offers will be made to new students.  Enrollment deposits may be submitted via credit card through PowerSchool (credit card fees apply) or check payable to St. Michael’s Episcopal School. Thank you for your prompt return of your child’s re-enrollment contract and deposit.

STRATEGIC PLANNING

At the core of our new Strategic Plan is our Mission Statement:  St. Michael’s Episcopal School nurtures the spirit, ignites the mind, and celebrates childhood in a community of love, affirmation, and belonging that fosters educational excellence.
Against that backdrop, the Board has charged the School with a focus on excellence in five specific areas:
  • Educational Excellence:  Be a safe place for students to develop academically, physically, socially, spiritually, and emotionally.
  • Community Engagement:  Engage in open, authentic, and respectful communications that foster a sense of shared community and trust and build lasting relationships for every individual in the St. Michael’s Episcopal School community.
  • Faculty and Staff:  Attract, develop, and retain a diverse, professional, committed, and engaged faculty and staff who reflect the values and mission of St. Michael’s.
  • Campus & Facilities:  Maintain our current facilities and develop a capital improvement plan that supports the school’s mission.
  • Sustainability:  Develop financial resources that enable St. Michael’s Episcopal School to enrich student experience and to pursue full enrollment now and for future generations.
Please consider joining us as well as other Board and administrative leaders on February 13 at 8:15 a.m. for a Dragon Dialogue on these strategic initiatives.
We serve your children with great enthusiasm and look forward to doing so again in the coming year.  Thank you for your continued commitment and support of St. Michael’s Episcopal School.

Sincerely,
