Dear Traveler:

O say can you see (by the bustling crowds at the ice-cream stand) that summer is well and truly here? Up here in Transylvania County, the heat is on and that cold water at the bottom of Sliding Rock is looking pretty darn inviting. I might even head over there myself, once I work out my Fourth of July schedule. I’ll let you in on a little secret: the Adventurist is a fireworks fan.

Is there any better time to be in Transylvania County? I mean, really. The weather is beautiful. The water is cool. The music is amazing and — I’m serious about this — everywhere.  Plus, there’s great food, cool activities and a lot of incredibly awesome people, places and things just waiting for your discovery.  So let’s raise the flag and get ready for some serious adventure.

Happy Summer, campers!
