The 41st annual Welcome Back Festival takes place today on College Avenue from 6-8 p.m. College Avenue, along with access streets within this area, will be closed from Highway 93 to Earle Street starting at 3:45 p.m. The streets will reopen after the festival ends, when it is safe to do so.

Max Allen, longtime senior vice president and chief of staff, will retire from Clemson University, effective August 31, 2026. Since joining Clemson in 2015, Allen has played a pivotal role in advancing the University’s strategic priorities while strengthening its reputation and national visibility.
