In addition to Clemson Athletics' success on the field, the Tigers had several players drafted over the last few months:
-
Three football players were selected in the 2025 NFL Draft. Barrett Carter was selected in the fourth round (Cincinnati Bengals); R.J. Mickens was taken in the sixth round (Los Angeles Chargers); and Phil Mafah was selected in the seventh round (Dallas Cowboys). Clemson has now had at least one player selected in 23 consecutive drafts since 2003.
-
Two baseball players were selected in the MLB Draft: Cam Cannarella (Miami Marlins, 43rd overall) and Lucas Mahlstedt (Los Angeles Angels, seventh round).
-
Two softball players were selected for the Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL), which launched its inaugural season in June. Caroline Jacobsen was selected 38th overall and McKenzie Clark was taken four spots later at 42nd overall.
