Georgia Tech Named a Gold Bicycle Friendly University by the League of American Bicyclists |
Georgia Tech has been awarded Gold level Bicycle Friendly University status for another four years by the League of American Bicyclists. This prestigious distinction is awarded to institutions that successfully focus on promoting and establishing safe and accessible bicycling programs and amenities on campus.

Reminders Before Election Day |
As Election Day approaches on Tuesday, Nov. 5, and with early voting already in full swing, it’s a good time to revisit the University System of Georgia’s policy on voting leave.

Duo Phone Call 2FA Phase Out |
Beginning Nov. 11, the Duo phone call method will not be offered as a two-factor authentication (2FA) option for Georgia Tech users when logging in to OneUSG Connect. Beginning Dec. 3, the method will not be offered as a 2FA option on any Georgia Tech login system.

This is an active enrollment year! Which means you are required to take action if you want healthcare coverage for 2025. Review your options and enroll by Nov. 8. Be sure to complete your certifications to avoid tobacco and working spouse surcharges.

| Leading @Tech – Professional Development for Leaders |
Launching Oct. 30, Leading @Tech offers courses for faculty and staff who are new in supervisory roles. These leaders will receive email messages inviting them to take the recommended courses. Beginning in early 2025, the content will be available to all supervisors.

Living Our Values: We Act Ethically |
Ethics Week returns this year, focusing on the Institute value “We act ethically.” As one of Georgia Tech’s core values, “We act ethically” guides our priorities every day. While ethics is a year-round priority, Ethics Week spotlights all the ways our campus engages in ethical decision-making and leadership.
This year’s events, taking place Nov. 4 – 8, will include online presentations and in-person events. Campus experts and guest speakers will join the Office of Ethics and Compliance to showcase ethics in a variety of ways.

| Data Days 2024: Back to Basics |
The 2024 Data Days conference will take place Monday, Nov. 4, to Wednesday, Nov. 6, at Georgia Tech. This year’s conference, themed “Back to the Basics," is for the everyday data user and consumer and focuses on how to make the most of your data reports, leverage analytics to drive important decisions, and use data for effective storytelling.

The Veterans Resource Center will host its annual Veterans Day Luncheon on Monday, Nov. 11, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the Ferst Center lobby. All students, faculty, and staff who are veterans or currently active in any of the Armed Forces branches are invited to attend.
