| Chastain Named Next Leader for Administration and Finance |
Tricia Chastain has been selected as Georgia Tech’s next executive vice president for Administration and Finance and chief business officer. Chastain brings more than 23 years of leadership experience in higher education and government across Georgia and will begin in her new role on May 19.

| McLaughlin Named Cooper Union President |
Steven W. McLaughlin, provost and executive vice president for Academic Affairs, has been named the 14th president of The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art, effective July 1.

Atlanta’s Biltmore Ballrooms were abuzz with fellowship and toasts as more than 200 faculty, staff, and researchers recently celebrated their decades of dedication to Georgia Tech at the inaugural Long Service Dinner.

The Georgia Tech Staff Council invites all staff to the annual 2025 Staff Appreciation Day! Join the fun at Exhibition Hall between 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. on Monday, May 5. Bring your Buzzcard for check-in.
This year’s excellent gathering will feature old-school arcade games, stellar refreshments, righteous photo ops, a def DJ with killer karaoke, and more. We double dog dare you to wear your favorite fly 80's style.

Volunteers are needed to help celebrate our staff!

To better support volunteers, the Staff Council has reserved a room in the Exhibition Hall to serve as a hybrid workspace for those who may need to work before or after their volunteer shift. To receive an official Staff Appreciation Day t-shirt, you must sign up to volunteer for at least two hours.

Georgia Tech employees with children (grades K-12) who may not have the financial means to obtain the necessary supplies for school can submit a request for supplies. | HR Services Moving to 755 Marietta Street Due to Building Renovation |
Due to upcoming renovations to 500 Tech Parkway, HR services, including onboarding for newly hired faculty, staff, and student employees, will temporarily relocate to the Administrative Services Center (ASC) beginning May 5.
