NYU Clery Campus Notice

Hate Crime / Criminal Mischief

On Tuesday, September 9, at 11:40 pm, the NYU Department of Campus Safety received a report of vandalism on a student's door in Weinstein Hall in Manhattan being vandalized with antisemitic graffiti.

The victim reported that they left their room at approximately 10:00 pm and returned to find the vandalism at 11:30 pm.

Campus Safety responded to the report, and the police were notified. It is being investigated by Campus Safety, the University's Title VI coordinator, and the NYPD. The victim was offered support services. The graffiti has been removed.

Description of Suspect: There is currently no description of or information on the suspect.

NYU has a zero tolerance policy towards hatred, bigotry, harassment, and discrimination. Anyone who has any information about this incident is strongly urged to come forward promptly; please contact the NYPD at 1(800) 577-TIPS and NYU Campus Safety at (212) 998-2222.
