Dear Friends,
As I sit here watching the rain fall, I think back to our Holiday Home Tour and the consequences of it raining throughout the weekend. We didn’t let it cancel our event. We assessed the situation and ultimately had one wonderful Sunday. I think it was more joyful and fun-filled because of our determination to make it work; successful, because we are an organization of like-minded friends who honor the mission to promote and help fund music for our community and ourselves.
This upcoming spring is packed with exciting events that I know you will want to learn about and attend. If you recall, the Board promised to introduce activities that would bring more music to you as a member of the Ojai Music Festival Friends. I will briefly list them here, but you can read more about them below.
On March 7th is the Festival's Creative Lab event at the Krotona Institute. This is a pay-what-you-can concert featuring Tesserae Baroque’s program Meera Kahe, a new work by Reena Esmail.
March 27th is the Festival Volunteer Launch with Ara, who will give a brief overview of the 2026 Festival. Interested in becoming more involved with the Festival? This is your chance to learn about volunteering to usher, opening your home to host a musician, and other needs during the days of the Festival.
March 29th is a Hike and Hear event in collaboration with the Ojai Valley Conservancy. Music and hiking—the best of both worlds!
Put a rose in your teeth for our April 19th event that will feature a flamenco dancer. But, wait! There’s more! There will also be IPA tasting and brats to please your palate.
As always, keep on your calendar our Holiday Home Tour and Market—this year it will take place November 14th to 15th. We are always looking for homes. If you have any ideas, please share them with us!
We are still adjusting to this new chapter of our group, but we couldn’t be more thrilled with how our membership is growing with new friends. Spread the word about us—We are the Ojai Music Festival Friends, and we welcome everyone!
