2015 Book and Journal Collections
Project MUSE offers books and journals in a wide array of subjects in the humanities and social sciences.
  • Two new book collections this year, Middle Eastern Studies and Psychology
  • Also new this year - the 50-volume set of Karl Marx and Frederick Engels: Collected Works. MUSE has exclusive rights to distribute the complete 50 volume set.  
  • 19 new journals are joining the Premium Collection  
  • A selection of existing journals are joining the Standard, Basic Research, Basic College, Humanities, and Social Science collections. Subscriptions to these collections now include the additional titles.

20th Anniversary Celebration
Project MUSE is celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2015!
Since 1995, MUSE has supported a wide array of research needs at academic, public, special, and school libraries worldwide. Developed in collaboration with the Eisenhower Library at Johns Hopkins University, MUSE was designed by the academic community, for the academic community.
Join us as we begin the celebration at ALA Midwinter in Chicago. Hope to see you there!
  • What: a light breakfast along with updates on what's new and forthcoming at MUSE this year
  • When: Saturday January 31, starting at 9:30 a.m.
  • Where: MUSE booth #2911 in the Exhibit Hall
New!  Journals Hosted on MUSE
MUSE now offers access to individual journals hosted on the MUSE platform in addition to journals available in collections. 
Hosted journals are additional titles provided by MUSE publishers, available to institutions as single title subscriptions, and are not included in any of the journal collections.  An institution may subscribe to any of the hosted journals individually or in addition to subscribing to a collection. Journals currently hosted on MUSE.  The number of hosted journals is expected to grow as more publishers participate in this option.   
Back Issues Recently Added
Perspectives in Biology and Medicine recently added archival issues back to its first issue, Volume 1, Number 1, 1957, providing MUSE with the complete run of the journal.
Back issues for additional journals will be added throughout 2015. Watch for announcements. See all journals with a complete run
Exclusive to Project MUSE
MUSE is pleased to be the exclusive platform for the complete 50-volume set of Karl Marx and Frederick Engels:Collected Works, published by Lawrence & Wishart
The set is the largest collection of translations into English of their complete works covering 1835-1895. This series collection, the first on MUSE, is fully searchable on the MUSE platform.

MUSE Journals in Portico
MUSE has entered into an agreement with Portico to archive and preserve its complete collection of over 600 journals. MUSE and Portico began their partnership in 2012 with the preservation of e-books from the UPCC collections.
