CTY Inspired FBI Agent, Legal Analyst to Aim High
When Asha Rangappa ’89 attended CTY at Franklin & Marshall College, she found a strong peer community for the first time. However, it was CTY’s rigorous Individually Paced Mathematics Sequence course that truly shaped her path.
“I internalized having my own goals and the discipline to pursue them,” she said. “CTY also made me hungrier and more confident to reach and stretch myself. For example, a teaching assistant from Princeton put the school on my radar, so I applied and got in.”
| |
Rangappa went on to attend Yale Law School and became an FBI agent specializing in counterintelligence. Today, she is a legal and national security commentator for ABC, BBC, CNN, and other media. She is also a CTY parent. Learn more about Rangappa’s work.

| Fueling CTY’s Work Through Monthly Giving
When Ted and Susan Walko’s oldest child grew bored in school, they discovered CTY. They were so impressed with its range of services, robust online course options, and unique residential programming that they enrolled all three of their children.
“CTY made a tremendous difference in both their academic and emotional development,” Ted said. “We donate monthly to the organizations we value—it is how we show our commitment to their purpose. Our consistent giving enables CTY to operate more strategically and make longer-term decisions to support the students. It is also easier for us to manage our budget.”
