A note from Catherine
Thank you so much for your ongoing support as we continue the Hurricane Ian recovery process. Our team has been reaching out to Habitat homeowners and repair clients to assess damage and needs, and we have already made contact with more than 100 families and individuals.
We are continuing our bucket drive and appreciate all of the donations that are assisting our community members in getting back on their feet. We will keep you updated on our activities and progress. As always, Habitat is here to help.

A happy housewarming at Mary's
| |
We were honored to attend a housewarming celebration last month for Mary and her family. The new homeowner asked us to invite all her "angels" who worked alongside her to build her home last spring during Women Build. Many attended and also sent along well wishes. Congrats, Mary, and thank you to our volunteers and sponsors!

Some of the well wishes:
"Warmest wishes on your new home! I am glad that I got to be even a small part of it, and I know you will make years of beautiful memories there." ~ Janelle Rolston, Alight Solutions
"Congratulations Mary! It was such a pleasure and inspiration working hand in hand with you in building your home." ~ Yesenia Vega, Female Force LLC
"Congratulations Miss Mary on your new home, it was a pleasure to be a very small part of helping your dream come true." ~ Annette Knopp, KMI International

From the build siteOur 2022-2023 Team Build season got off to a great start in September. We felt it was important to continue our work in the wake of Hurricane Ian, which served as a potent reminder of just how important housing is to rebuilding equity and community health.
Thank you to the following groups for their generous donations of treasure, talent, and time over the last two months: Wells Fargo • PCL Construction • Ravago Manufacturing • United Community Bank • Correct Craft • Bank of America • Greystar.
A big shout out to Bank of America, which nearly doubled its donation to support those affected by Ian through our recovery and rebuilding efforts. Read more in this WFTV story.
