Dear Division Colleagues,
This one goes out to all the noodle fanatics just itching to get back to the bracket game. That's why we are sending it out a couple of days early. Whether your picks are drawn from deep college basketball knowledge or *~vibes~* (aka favorite mascots), there’s a place for you in the Third Annual Division of Student Life March Madness Bracket Showdown Challenge Extravaganza Bonanza Slamza. Last year’s March Madness Bracket Winners were Jordy Dickey (Student Activities) for the women’s bracket and Keane Tarbell (New Student Programs) for the men’s bracket. If you’d like to participate, follow the steps below!

- Click each link below. Sign-in or create an ESPN account (for free). Join each bracket challenge. Choose a fun name for your bracket.
- Selection Sunday (for both men and women) is Sunday, March 15. Pick your bracket between March 16 and March 17/18 when games in each tournament begin (brackets lock just before the start of each game).

Workplace Experience Survey Reminder – Please fill out the Workplace Experience Survey that you received via email this past week. Your perspective genuinely matters to us, and this is one of the most direct ways you can help shape conversations around the direction of our Division. This survey is rooted in something you may already be familiar with, the Great Colleges to Work For survey that Baylor distributes annually to all employees. That survey gives us valuable insight, but we wanted to go deeper on a few areas that are high priorities for Student Life specifically. Click HERE.

Waco Sports Corporate Cup – Baylor is the largest employer in McLennan County and this summer we have a chance to show our fellow large businesses like SpaceX and TSTC what we are made of during the Waco Sports Corporate Cup main event! We need 50-60 faculty and staff members to compete in a one-of-a-kind adult field day representing Baylor University on Saturday, June 6. Complete the interest form by Friday, March 27, to let us know you want to be a part of the fun! Learn more about the event and activities online. Feel free to share this information with faculty and staff you know who might otherwise be interested in participating.

March 21: Gateway to India – Celebrate and experience the beauty of Indian culture in Waco Hall at 5:30 p.m. next Saturday through this popular annual event! Tickets are $13 and can be bought online (door price is $15). You don’t want to miss this event highlighting the various styles of dance and art within Indian culture.

March 23-27: Civil Discourse Week – Created by Student Government and coordinated by Intercultural Engagement, Civil Discourse Week is dedicated to equipping the Baylor community with a deeper understanding of and appreciation for civil discourse—what it is, why it matters, and how it can be practiced for the common good. Through engaging events, lectures, and conversations, we aim to foster a culture of respectful dialogue across lines of difference. March 27: Sic ’Em Slam – The art of storytelling and spoken-word poetry comes back March 27 at 7 p.m. in Barfield Drawing Room. Featuring high-end hors d'oeuvres and creative mocktails, this unique event promises to deliver a rich evening of diverse student and staff storytellers and spoken-word artists sharing pieces of their lives in dramatic fashion.
