Dear Friends,

When schools were closed on March 13, we got to work.
Thanks to your support and our partnerships with 30 non-profits, we have supported 19,000+ families all across Miami-Dade County.

Our overall COVID-19 relief efforts include:

18,356 Families in need received

$532,819 in learning and household supplies.
1,170  Families received Harvests Bags filled with fresh produce from our Food Forests.

725 Students coached in college enrollment via webinars and personal counseling.

4,402 Teachers registered for our interactive webinars on best practices/strategies in effective online teaching and other resources teachers need to be successful.

270 Teachers awarded technology mini-grants.

We salute our teachers for truly stepping up to the plate and guiding students through distance learning.
We salute our students for staying the course.
And, we salute our parents for adapting to the “new normal.

THE EDUCATION FUND NEVER RESTS
Our SmartPath students will begin internships in July.

Meanwhile, we are planning for blended operations to meet in-school and continued distance learning to include summer sessions and other support to teachers, students, and families in need.

And, without pause, our distribution of household and learning supplies to families in need will continue all summer and next school year.
Thank you for your belief in our work and your continued financial support. Every dollar received is an investment in our community’s children and their education.
