Several titles published by Theatre Communications Group won gold at the 2023 Tony Awards last Sunday:
- Kimberly Akimbo by David Lindsay-Abaire and Jeanine Tesori won five trophies, including Best New Musical, Best Original Score, and Best Book of a Musical
- Topdog/Underdog by Suzan-Lori Parks won Best Revival of a Play
- Jodie Comer’s performance in Prima Facie by Suzi Miller (TCG / Nick Hern Books) won the award for Best Leading Actress in a Play
- Parade by Jason Robert Brown and Alfred Uhry, anthologized in TCG’s The New American Musical, won Best Revival of a Musical and Best Direction of a Musical
