The word is in: summer’s headed out. Fall is drawing near.  It is hard to believe, what with all this glorious sunshine and green forest. Time is nigh to catch a few extra rays and seize the bonus daylight before the nights cool off and the trees go into dress rehearsals for leaf season.

The 5th Annual Dirt Diggler Event promises cyclists a rare chance to meander down a variety of backcountry/ gravel surfaces through some of WNC’s most gorgeous locations. The event ends with two miles of single-track in DuPont Forest. It’s a well-marked course with chip timing, fully supported rest stops with medical assistance available and SAG wagons.

DuPont Forest rings in National Public Lands Day with a thrilling full day of activities at their annual Forest Festival. This year’s event will feature more than thirty activities including mountain bike and hiking tours, wildlife lectures, paddle board demonstrations, and lots more.
