Pray for the Church in Bouna, Ivory Coast
Saturday we received disturbing news from Bouna, Ivory Coast.
The Bouna church rented a minibus to take a delegation to a wedding in a village church about an hour and a half away. On the way, a tire blew, causing the vehicle to lose control and overturn
Mr. Martin, one of the lay leaders of the church, was killed on the spot. Another young man was taken to the hospital unconscious and died in the hospital. Several others were injured, including Claudine, the wife of Pastor Philip Bonsu, one of the teachers at the Bible Institute.
Philip and Claudine (pictured above) were just approved as missionary interns by IM to serve with Connect Church in Russellville, AR. Please pray for the recovery of Mrs. Claudine and the others injured in the accident. Claudine was transferred to Abidjan for treatment.
Pray for the church in Bouna. They are still dealing with the recent loss of their pastor and of another young pastor. This is a lot of grief for the church in a short amount of time.
