Thanksgiving Food Drive Launches This Week

St. Michael's annual all-school food drive is November 11-21. Donations will benefit the St. Michael's Church Food Pantry, which provides meals for approximately 900 people each month, including monthly support for Friends of the Homeless and Monarch Woods Senior Housing.
Items that are always needed include:
  • Chef Boyardee canned meals
  • Cereal, all varieties
  • Canned Meats (SPAM, Tuna, Chicken)
  • Canned Beans, all varieties
  • Paper Towels
  • Bathroom Tissue
  • Hygiene products
Food items will be collected in homerooms and advisories.
Please ensure the canned goods you donate from your pantry have not expired. (No glass jars, please.)
The food collected will be blessed at our Thanksgiving Chapel service. Our fifth graders will sort all the food donations, deliver them to the Food Pantry, and learn more about our community partners as we respond to food insecurity in Richmond. Thank you in advance for your support of this service outreach project!

Holly Jolly! Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting

Save the Date: Our Annual Christmas Parade & Tree Lighting on Wednesday, December 12 at 6 p.m. It's a much-loved and must-see event!
Important Note: Extended Day closes that day at 4:30 p.m.
Join us for a festive evening that includes a float parade around The Green, choral performances, all-school caroling, and lighting of the Christmas tree. Santa himself will even make a special appearance. It is sure to get you in the holiday spirit!

Morning Gym Safety

A reminder that Morning Gym opens at 7:20 a.m. PLEASE do not drop off children before this time as this is a safety issue as there is no supervision.
For everyone's safety, cars must pull all the way up to the designated cones and curb before allowing students to exit the vehicle. This ensures a smooth and safe drop-off process for all. Thank you for your cooperation!

LS Fruit and Vegetable Challenge Underway

The Lower School Fruit and Vegetable Challenge continues through November 15.
During these days, students will tally if they ate a serving of fruits or vegetables at lunch or snack. The grade who wins will earn an extra P.E. class and fruit party.  Students will also discuss in P.E. class the importance of eating a well-balanced diet.
