Happy New Year! We hope you had a happy and restful Winter Break. Some stories you may have missed from the past several weeks:

Board of Trustees Chair Kim Wilkerson shared a message to the campus community regarding Clemson's involvement in the proposed Newry Development in Oconee County. A new website provides detailed documentation and communications about Clemson’s role.

Clemson's Presidential Search Committee held its first meeting December 18, where the seven-member committee chaired by Trustee Cheri Phyfer ’93 was charged to conduct a national search to identify Clemson’s 16th president.

All instructors are encouraged to review and save key academic regulations for undergraduate classes. More information can be found in the Undergraduate Catalog and Faculty Manual.

To celebrate National Science Fiction Day last Friday, College of Science faculty separated fact from fiction — revealing which sci-fi ideas are pure myth and which are surprisingly grounded in real science.

Marketing professor Danny Weathers sought to determine what it is about streaks that makes them so compelling. His research reveals four underlying characteristics of patterned behavior — helping you make and keep New Year's resolutions that will stick.

As former President Jim Clements begins his retirement, Clemson University leaders shared their thoughts thanking him for his leadership and service. The value of the Tiger Paw has never been higher, and the best is yet to come.

The annual open enrollment period for active participants of the State Optional Retirement Program (ORP) is January 1 to March 1. ORP participants may change their state ORP service provider or, if eligible, may choose to participate in the South Carolina Retirement System (SCRS).

Landscape Services will mow the medians along Perimeter Road today and tomorrow, which may require shifting lane closures in the single lane closest to the medians to allow for any necessary cleanup.
