UWM is reviewing Hypothesis usage in Canvas to better understand instructional needs and plan for future licensing costs. This short survey is intended for instructors who are currently using, or have recently used, Hypothesis in their courses. April 3 Reminder for New TA Training |

New TAs are required to attend the April 3 training from 8:00 – 9:00 a.m. in ENG B73 where we will learn more about end of course evaluations from the Office of Assessment and Institutional Research (OAIR) as well as updates on digital accessibility. You’ll have a chance to reflect upon this semester and create future action plans for teaching along with foundations to your teaching portfolio and teaching statement.

Student Digital Accessibility Resources |

Students need to ensure digital materials are accessible whenever content is created that will be shared with peers. Thank you to everyone who provided feedback on the the digital accessibility templates for students. Please share the updated digitally accessible Microsoft PowerPoint template and the Microsoft Word template, designed to help students create accessible course materials.

| All textbook and course technology need requests for Fall 2026 are due by April 6. Completing submissions on time ensures materials are available for students and supports a smooth start to the term.

Canvas Resources: Graded Discussions, AI Use, and Blueprint Courses |

This resource outlines the steps to create a graded Discussion in Canvas. By making a discussion graded, instructors are able to use the Canvas SpeedGrader to quickly track the number of posts or contributions a student has made to a specific discussion forum in a Canvas course site.
This resource is intended to direct instructors to available data in Canvas should concerns about student AI misuse arise. This resource serves as a starting point on what data are available and where in Canvas, related to student course activity.
Lastly, is a resource for those interested in how Canvas course blueprints can help departments manage and share common course materials to support digital accessibility.

Digital Accessibility Workshops |

For hands on time working towards digital accessibility in Canvas and in course materials, register for an in-person training or explore the self-paced Digital Accessibility Training Modules.

Exams, quizzes, and finals administered in the Accessibility Resource Center must be scheduled by Wednesday, April 29, 2026. Review the Alternative Testing FAQs for answers to common questions on testing agreements, testing hours and time limits, scheduling, and test day expectations.
The Media Accessibility Tip Sheet provides tips for navigating the process of captioning media, whether that media is in Kaltura or on an outside platform. Review the Media Accessibility FAQs for answers to common questions about media accessibility.

AI Modules for AI Literacy |
