Meet the Newest Members of Our Team!

We’re thrilled to welcome the latest additions to our team! Please join us in welcoming them and celebrating the talent and energy they bring to our community.

Jeremy Cao, International Student Advisor

Originally from Beijing, Jeremy moved to New York to study Computer Science and Political Science at NYU. Before joining OGS full-time, he worked as a student worker in our office and interned at a migrant clinic supporting asylum seekers. As an NYU alum and former international student, Jeremy is passionate about helping students navigate their journey. Outside of work, he enjoys photography—especially capturing birds like the black-capped chickadee and long-eared owl.

Maddie Harvey, Program Administrator

Maddie is a passionate advocate for international education, bringing experience from CU Boulder and Monroe University to her new role at OGS and I-Hub. Originally from Minnesota, she was drawn to NYU’s energy and welcoming community. When not at work, you can find Maddie hiking, camping, gardening, or traveling—South Africa being a favorite destination where she deepened her passion for Peace and Conflict Studies and international education.

International Affinity Celebration

Tuesday, May 13th | 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM ET

Join us as we celebrate graduating international students’ academic achievements at our International Student Affinity Celebration. Discover and applaud the accomplishments of the International Student Hub award recipients, connect with graduating students, friends, and families, and have a festive setting to celebrate all of their achievements at NYU.

Key Highlights for International Students This Month

If students are planning to graduate in the Fall 2025 semester and have fewer than a full-time course load remaining to graduate, we are encouraging them to learn more about the requirements to register for a reduced course load, directing them to our register part-time web page for further information.
In preparation for the summer break, our recommendations to students include: ensuring their travel signature on their I-20/DS-2019 is up to date before traveling; If a student is undergraduate and graduating in May, they must have OPT (for F-1 students) or AT (for J-1 students) if they intend to work on campus after May 14; If a student is moving from one degree program to another (such as Bachelor's to Master's), they are required to obtain a new, updated I-20.
We continue to send our Journey to NYU emails to all international students who have program start dates between May 15 and July 15, 2025. Follow along with the emails these students are receiving at our Journey to NYU web page.
