| Dear RV Friend,
February greetings! Whether you're huddled in sweaters and blankets, awaiting the spring thaw, or basking in a warm, sun-drenched climate, we hope you're keeping your next RV adventure in mind. This month we salute the unusual: those fun, quirky, and sometimes out-of-the-way sites just waiting to be discovered.
How about the Eiffel Tower in Paris, Texas, topped with a cowboy hat? Or the Winchester Mystery House in San Jose, California, full of staircases to nowhere and tales of eerie hauntings? Or the "Drainpipe of the Pacific," a sinkhole off the Oregon coast near Cape Perpetua that looks like it's draining the ocean? Read about these and many more intriguing sites here.
Of course, wherever you roam, FMCA will be right there with you. To get up to speed, take a gander at all the great benefits FMCA members receive. We're glad to take the journey with you.
Happy travels!

| Traveling with pets is a common practice among RVers. While it can be fun and fulfilling to have your furry companion with you on RV adventures, it can be costly if they fall ill and need medical treatment. Even finding a local veterinarian can pose challenges. And for RVers on a strict budget, the cost of pet medical bills can be another roadblock.
FMCA has teamed up with FMCA RV Insurance to provide members with a discounted rate on pet insurance. Three levels of coverage are available. Plans also include 24/7 access to the VetHelpline. Travel with peace of mind, knowing that if something happened to your four-legged friend, they would receive good care no matter where you were.

| Quirky Roadside Attractions
| |
| Offbeat destinations have long intrigued travelers. They've become a motif in modern pop culture, thanks to films such as National Lampoon's Vacation and websites such as Roadtrippers. Here are four of our personal favorites.
Carhenge – This gem is located within the high-plains region of northwestern Nebraska. Thirty-nine spray-painted cars make up Carhenge, a modern re-creation of the original Stonehenge, one of the seven wonders of the world. If you're a fan of Carhenge, you'll likely get a kick out of Cadillac Ranch in Amarillo, Texas, also.
SPAM Museum – This might be the most bizarre stop on our list, but the Hormel SPAM Museum in Austin, Minnesota, is a must-see for any traveler seeking quirky roadside attractions. Learn about the history of America's favorite mystery meat from one of the Spambassadors, or tour on your own. Just make sure to grab some cans for the road on your way out!
Dog Mountain – Dog Mountain in St. Johnsbury, Vermont, is a haven for dogs and dog-lovers alike. The property is open to canines and their owners, with an optional leash policy. It includes hiking trails; ponds for pups that like to swim; and the infamous Dog Chapel, which features photos of people's furry friends who have gone to doggy heaven.
Enchanted Highway – Artist Gary Greff has created several large-scale folk art installations throughout a 32-mile stretch of uninhabited road known as The Enchanted Highway in southern North Dakota. The projects were an effort to boost tourism in his struggling hometown of Regent, North Dakota. This is a fun day trip to take, as it allows you to stop and get out at each location to view the enormous sculptures.

Bend and Stretch
Pipe cleaners are fun - flexible fragments of fun! Find a bag of these colorful, fuzzy sticks in a craft aisle or hobby store and make endless creations: butterflies, flowers, dream catchers, critters and more. To form an animal head, make a loop in the middle of a pipe cleaner and wrap around it from stem to stern. For an animal body, coil a pipe cleaner around a marker and slide it off when you're done. Slip legs into the loops. Create eyes and animal coloring with a marker. Need some visual inspiration? Learn to make a chameleon or a pair of graceful swans.
