Join us for an unforgettable evening as we celebrate “America’s best idea” – our National Parks – and the 30th Anniversary of Oregon Parks Forever, with special screenings of the award-winning documentary, Out There: A National Parks Story. The Portland event is sold out, but seats are available in Salem, Eugene, Bend, Corvallis, and Ashland.
A discussion with the filmmaker will follow. Director & Cinematographer Brendan Hall and a childhood friend will take you on a breathtaking 10,000-mile journey through the heart of 15 of America’s national parks, capturing the landscapes, the people, and the powerful stories that define these treasured places. What began as a quest to capture awe-inspiring landscapes evolves into a heartfelt exploration of the humans within them.

Brendan Hall will be at all the shows for Q& A after the screening.
Hall is a documentary filmmaker telling stories in the natural world and beyond. In his work, Brendan is committed to sharing the wonders of our planet in hopes that we may be inspired to care for it. In 2022, Brendan was globally announced as a crew member of the dearMoon lunar mission led by Japanese entrepreneur Yusaku Maezawa. Selected from over 1 million artists and creatives around the world, he will join Maezawa and 7 other crew members on the first ever civilian flight around the moon with SpaceX as soon as 2023. While Brendan is a director, cinematographer and editor, he is also a night sky photographer, scuba diver and amateur juggler.
