Join the fellowships team in UChicagoGRAD for a conversation on applying to the Fulbright US Student Program. We'll discuss the statement of grant purpose for both the English Teaching Assistant program and the Study/Research grant. In our conversation, we will address how to frame your Fulbright year in the context of larger dissertation projects, as well as strategies for ensuring you offer a compelling justification for your country of choice.

These three-part, one-week workshops are designed for rising second year doctoral students who intend to apply to the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Program. During the workshop, students will learn to: interpret the NSF GRFP solicitation, distinguish intellectual merit from broader impacts in the research statement and personal statement, and approach the essays from the perspective of a GRFP evaluator. Students will consult examples of successful applications and reviewer comments in the course of the workshop.
