Hi Neighbor!
Â
Writing about the process of writing is a topic I never would have shared in years prior. I write. Not much more to say. Lately though, I’ve become more aware of the process and it’s more than just writing. I’ve learned to pay attention mid-activity, to capture that moment and discover a topic to offer readers. This process requires observing what I’m doing or thinking or feeling. Then it involves catching that observation before it’s lost in the rushing river of my thoughts.
Â
Paying closer attention contains aspects of mindfulness practice. “Be here now” is a phrase I’ve heard but didn’t employ. Obviously, I thought, I’m here now. But I’m learning that being physically in one location and simultaneously having my mind somewhere else isn’t being present and it isn’t the way I identify writing topics... READ MORE

Mindfully,
Jane

Husky Puppies - Great Dogs that Come Into RescuesÂ
There is a huge misconception that the only dogs in shelter and rescue programs are those that have behavior or medical problems.
The truth is that most rescues see a wide variety of dogs pass through their doors on a regular basis. Â Dogs come from various backgrounds, which may include: pull from another shelter, transport from another state or owner surrender. Â
This litter of Husky puppies arrives at Chester County's Angel’s Retreat from West Virginia.  They were dumped in a rural shelter where chances of adoption were slim. They are beautiful, fun and energetic puppies looking for their families like so many other rescue or shelter pets.
The next time you are looking for a pet to love, check out your local shelters and rescues. Â They may surprise you!
