Convention Time!

The 2022 National Convention kicks off Saturday morning with Impact Birmingham, a service project demonstrating the love of Christ to the homeless community in the city.

Worship services begin Sunday morning with Sunday school at 9:30 followed by worship at 10:30. Services and business sessions will streamed live on the NAFWB Facebook and at https://nafwb.org. A reminder that only reports will be streamed during the business session. Questions and discussions will not be broadcast for legal reasons.

Convention Seminars

Nearly 90 seminars and breakout sessions will be hosted by national departments and commissions Monday through Wednesday. Plan to take advantage of these opportunities for continuing education and ideas to enhance your ministry.

Although there are times when we have all been tired of Zoom in the last few months, the pandemic has taught us that Zoom, and other technologies have created the opportunity for people all over the world to come together.

Survey for Hispanic FWBs

Jose Rodriguez, Dean of the Spanish Ministry Institute at Welch College, is conducting a survey among Hispanics part of his project for a PhD in ministry. We invite you to participate or share this survey that seeks to determine the need for and interest for higher-level biblical training among Hispanic Free Baptists in the United States. The survey is voluntary and confidential. Your participation is highly appreciated.

News from Departments

Church Planters and Chaplains at Convention

North American Ministries will have many of their church planters and chaplains at their booth during the National Convention. Stop by and meet some of them and out ways you can support their ministries.

They will also be recognizing them during the Wednesday night service.

WNAC Convention Seminars

WNAC will be hosting six seminars during the National Convention for women of all ages. WNAC seminars will be presented each day at 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. BJCC North F. Find the full schedule, titles, and speakers at https://nafwb.org/convention/.

Travel the World at the IM Booth

One of the features at the IM booth at the National Convention will be an interative QR code map, where you can learn all about IM's Global Partners and travel the world with just your phone.

Evangels to Perform at Convention

The Evangel Players, the student theatrical touring group of Welch College, will be performing at the annual session of the National Association of Free Will Baptists in Birmingham. They will be presenting their summer tour, which they presented at churches across the country: a radio theater setting of C. S. Lewis’s The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. The performance will be held Monday, July 25, at 4:00 p.m. in BJCC North F.

The Evangels’ presentation will be one of twenty Welch College seminars at the convention. Click here to see the full list of seminars.

Through a partnership with Cornerstone Estate Planning, the Foundation offers a comprehensive estate plan for all FWB families.

Watch a short testimonial of the plan or attend the Foundation's convention seminar, "Biblical Estate Planning," Monday at 1:00 p.m. in BJCC North H.
